“When you Tell One Lie,
It leads to Another”

Paul Hatch
                   Always speak the Truth

Reflection: I think this is trying to tell that you shouldn’t lie because once you lie, you’ll begin to lie all the time. A lie is a lie, no matter how small or how big.

Physical Fitness

“Physical fitness is not only one of the
most important keys to a healthy body,
it is the basis of dynamic and creative
 intellectual activity. The relationship
between the soundness of the body and
the activities of the mind is subtle and
complex. Much is not yet understood.
But we do know what the Greeks
knew: that intelligence and skill can
only function at the peak of their
capacity when the body is healthy and
  strong.”

            President John F. Kennedy

Reflection: I think that Mr. Kennedy is trying to tell us that by being healthy physically and mentally we can accomplish a lot.

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

Each year on the fourth Thursday in November, many Americans will gather to eat, watch football, and be with their families. While today’s Thanksgiving celebrations would likely be unrecognizable to attendees of the original 1621 harvest meal. The pilgrims are the ones acknowledge founders of the feast. These people would give thanks to the creator’s gift so it was already a big part of their life. Giving thanks was, and still is, the primary reason for ceremonies and celebrations. Thanksgiving Day is a day of joy love, and mutual support. It’s a day where all your family can come together as one and enjoy each other’s company. It’s a day to give thanks and to remember all the good in the world. You watch football with your family and friends, you eat, and you celebrate.

Reflection: I honestly think that it is nice that we have such a day. I like spending time with my family members and especially those that I have not seen in months, or maybe even years.

I am Thankful for…
1      My family
2     My friends
 3.    My home
4      The happiness I have
5     Waking up this morning
6      Having a nice meal
7      My cousins
8      My siblings
9     My pet
10   My education
11  My rights
12    My life

Kindness

Kindness

Reflection: When I saw all those random acts of kindness, it made me feel good inside. It made me happy to know that people now a days are still kind and do things for others without expecting something in return. When the basketball team put in their player Michael in their last game, they didn’t expect to win, but a member from the opposite team noticed how much Michael really wanted to make a basket so when it was his turn to shoot, the team mate from the opposite team called Michael, gave him the ball and let him shoot. Everyone was so happy and the boy from the opposite team was to. Random acts of kindness are sometimes what keeps a person going throughout the day. A random act of kindness can save someone’s life.
