Olivet Middle School
In Olivet middle school the football team decided to do
something not many most people would think of doing. They one day decide to get
as close to the touch down as possible, but not make a touchdown. They had a
team member who had a mental problem and reacted a little younger for his age. The
football team adored him, so they wanted to do something meaningful for him. When
one of the players got as close to the touch down as possible, he kneeled down.
Then they brought in the boy and when the whistle blew they covered him so no
one would touch him, and made the touch down. They let him make the touchdown.
Not many people would think of doing this, but these team members wanted to
make someone’s week, month, day happy. This was a very nice thing to do because
they made that little boy so happy, even if it was just for a couple of
minutes. That meant more than you could think of to that boy.
