When you Tell One Lie it leads to Another
Paul Hatch
When you tell one lie, it leads to another So you lie and lie without even trying
So you tell two lies to cover each other And each lie
you tell will keep
Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother, multiplying
You’re in trouble up to your ears! ‘Till the whole wide world will know
So you tell four lies to try to protect you you’re
lying
Then you tell five lies so folks wont suspect you Then you’ll be
The you’ll tell six lies and you’ll collect Suspected
A life with worries and fears Detected
‘Cause you can’t remember how many lies you’ve told Rejected
And half the things you say aren’t true Neglected
And sometimes you’ll slip up, you’ll trip up Disliked
and
then And you should!
Whatever will become of you? When
you lie, you’re closing the door
On everything good
